Always use salt intended for use with dishwashers.
The salt container is located beneath the lower rack and should be filled as follows:
Remove the lower basketand then unscrew and remove thecap from thesalt
container.
Ifyou are fillingthecontainer for the first time ,fill 2/3 of its volume with water.
Placethe end ofthe funnel(supplied) intothe hole and introduce about 2kg of
salt .It is normal for a small amount of water to come out of the salt container
Carefully screw the cap back on.

Unscrew the cap fromthe salt container.
There is aringon the container with an arrowon it (see Figure to the side), if
necessary, rotate the ring in the anticlockwise direction from the "-" Setting
toward the "+" sign, based on the hardness ofthe waterbeingused.It is
recommendedthat adjustments should be made in accordance with the following
schema:

Thesalt container must be refilled when the salt warninglightcomes on. Though thesalt containeris filled
enough, theindicatorlight maynot blackout before thesalt fullydissolve.
Ifthereare spillsof the salt, a soakprogram couldbe run towipethem out.
Thehardness of thewatervariesfrom placeto place. If hard wateris usedin the dishwasher, deposits will formon thedishes
andutensils.
Theappliances isequippedwith a specialsoftener that usesa salt specifically designed to eliminate lime and minerals from the
water.
Thedishwasher is designed to allow for adjustingthe amount of salt consumed based on the hardness of the water used.

There are two ways to reduce the hardness: one way is using water softener, the other is using
detergent.
