Gooddishwashingstarts
with HOT water,

needhotwater.Tohelpyougetwater

dishwasherautomaticallyheatsthe
waterinthewdshcycle.Forgbod
washinganddrying,theentering
watermustbeat least 120“F.To
preventdishdamage,inletwater
shouldnotexceed150”F.
How
totestwatertemperature:
Checkthewatertemperature
insideyourdishwasherwitha
candyor meatthermometer.
Letthedishwasherrunthrough
onefillandpumpoutcycle,then
letthedishwasherfillwithwater
thesecondtime.
Whenyouhearthewaterstop
filling,unlatchthedoorandslowly
openit.
Measurethetemperatureofthe
waterinthebottomofthetubthis
way:
Removethesilverwarebasketand
placea candyor meatthermometer
inthewatertowardsthemiddleof
thetub. If thetemperatureis less
than 120°F,youwillnotgetgood
washingresults.Higherwater
temperatureisneededtodissolve
greaseandactivatepowder
detergents.
Helpfulhints: If outside
temperaturesare unusuallylow,or
ifyourwatertrdvelsa longdistance
fromwaterheatertodishwasher,
youmayneedtosetyourwater
heater’sthermostatup.Ifyouhave
notusedhotwaterforsometime,
thewaterinthepipeswillbecold.
Turnonthehotwaterfaucetat the
:;inkandallowitto run untilthe
waterishot.Thenstartthe
dishwasher.If you’verecentlydone
laundryor run
hot water for
showers,giveyourwaterheater
timetorccovcrbef’orcoperatingthe
dishwasher.

Helppreventspotting

lessenswaterspottingandmakes
dryingfaster,too.
Forbestdishwashing
performance,useofa rinse
agentsuchasJET-DRYbrandis
recommended.
Rinseagentscomeineitherliquid
or solidform. Yourdishwasher
usesthesolidform.

“hard”or “soft”?Withhardwater,

needlessdetergent.
Toomuchdetergentwithsoftwater

harmful.It cancausea permanent
cloudinessofglassware,called
“etching.”Anoutsidelayerofglass

chancewhenit’seasytofindout
thehardnessofyourwater.
Keepyourdetergentfreshand
dry.Underthesinkisn’ta good
placetostoredetergent.Toomuch
moisture.Don’tputpowder
detergentintothedispenseruntil
you’rereadytowashdishes,either.
