PrePare the Seedbed
For superb results as well as aggressive tillage in all
types of soil conditions, all Food Plot Seeder models
come standard with 3 different types of ground engage-
ment tools:
A Turning points help prepare seedbeds that need
residue buried.
B Chisel spikes are for dry or rocky soil applications.
C The sweep is best for repeat food plots or loose soil.
Heavy-duty notched disks
turn the hardest soils into
soft seed beds.
Place the Seed
Step up to the FP1206 to get a second
row of S-tines for increased tillage
action. Both the FP1206 and FP1208
have 18-inch notched disk blades.
With a full 8-foot seeding width,
you can cover ground quickly
with the FP1208. Twelve notched
disk blades and 9 S-tines give
you maximum tillage and
seedbed preparation.
Once the seed hits the ground, the flexible metal grat-
ing drag levels the soil and covers the seed for uniform
soil contact. You can choose between three covering
options. Drag only, drag with roller on top and roller
only. The FP1206 and FP1208 feature a handle to eas-
ily flip the roller over.

The seed brush (A) allows you to drop almost any kind
of seed and will deliver seed, including grass seed and
hard-to-plant seed blends, under varied conditions
(Seed brush shown without protective shield. Always
operate machine with seed brush shield in place).
Adjustable scatter plates (B) allow you to set the angle
of dispersion for accurate seed placement, reducing
seed cost by placing seed only where you want it.
