Maintaining Your Kambrook Stainless Kettle
Always switch appliance off at the
power outlet and then unplug before
cleaning.
Cleaning the Kettle Exterior
The Kambrook Stainless Steel Kettle
outside surface may be wiped over
with a damp cloth and polished with
a soft, clean dry cloth.
CAUTION: To prevent
damage to the
appliance, do not
use alkaline cleaning
agents when cleaning,
use soft cloth and
mild detergent.
NOTE: Do not use chemicals,
steel wool, or abrasive cleaners
to clean the inside or outside of
the kettle.
WARNING: Never
immerse the kettle base
or power supply cord in
water, or allow moisture
to come in contact with
these parts.
Mineral deposits and
discolouration
Due to the large surface area of the
concealed element interior base,
discolouration due to mineral deposits
will appear more obvious. The mineral
deposits can leave a brown rust stain
on the base. THIS IS NOT RUST.
To remove the discolouration follows
the cleaning instructions “Removal of
mineral deposits”.
Removal of Mineral Deposits
Mineral deposits in tap water may
cause the kettle interior to discolour
over time. This may be removed
by using a kettle descaler which
is available from most leading
supermarkets, department and
hardware stores.
Alternatively: Fill the kettle with 2/3 full
with 1 part vinegar (or a few slices of
lemon) and 2 parts of water, bring to
the boil and allow to stands overnight.
Empty the solution from the kettle.
Fill the kettle with clean water, bring
to the boil and discard the water.
Repeat and the kettle will be ready
for use.
Storage
Ensure that the kettle is switched off,
cleaned and dried before storing.
Ensure that the lid is closed and
locked firmly into place. Wrap the
power cord around the cord storage
under the power base.
Stand the kettle upright on the power
base. Do not store anything on top.
