Setting Oven Controls
Setting Preheat
For best baking performance use the Preheat feature. The
Preheat feature wiii bring the oven up to the set cooking
temperature. A reminder tone wiii sound indicating when
the set temperature is reached and to place the food in the
oven.
When the oven is finished preheating the preheat feature
will perform like the Bake feature and continue to maintain
the oven set temperature until cancelled.
Preheat may be set for any oven temperature between
170°F (77°C] to 550°F (288°C].
Example; to set Preheat with default oven temperature of
350°F:
1. Press PreHeat key pad.
(See Fig. 1).
2. Press START

Example; set oven for Preheat to 450°F:
1. Press PreHeat key pad.
2. Press 4 5 0 using numeric key pads.
3. Press START.

To cancel preheating at anytime press STOP.
Important notes:
When setting Baize or a cooking feature that preheats
the oven (except Broil), the Convection fan will turn on
and stay on until the oven reaches set temperature.
" Preheating is not necessary when roasting or cooking
casseroles.
Setting Bake
Use the baize feature whenever the recipe calls for baking
using normal temperatures. A reminder tone wiii sound
indicating when the set baize temperature is reached and
to place the food in the oven.
Baize may be set for any oven temperature between 170°F
(77°C) to 550°F (288°C).
Always use pot holders or oven mitts when
using the oven. When cooking, the oven interior, oven
racks and cooktop wiii become very hot which can cause
burns.
Example; to set Bake with default oven temperature of
350°F:
1. Press Bake key pad.
2. Press START.
To cancel bake at anytime press STOP.

1. Press Bake key pad.
2. Enter 4 2 5 using numeric key pads.
3. Press START.

To cancel baize at anytime press STOP.
Important notes:
When setting Baize or a cooking feature that preheats
the oven (except Broil), the Convection fan will turn on
and stay on until the oven reaches set temperature.
The oven will baize no longer than 12 hours. If you wish
to continuously baize, see Changing between continuous
baize setting or 12-Hour Energy Saving feature for
detailed information.
Dark or dull pans absorb more heat than shiny
bakeware resulting in dark or overbrowning of foods. It
may be necessary to reduce the oven temperature or
cook time to prevent overbrowning of some foods. Dark
pans are recommended for pies. Shiny pans are
recommended for cakes, cookies and muffins.
