Operating Your Coffee Maker
USING THE THERMAL CARAFE:
The stainless steel thermal carafe features
a double-walled, vacuum-insulated design
that will keep coffee hot – and flavorful –
for hours. It’s a unique, easy-to-use design
with features you should know about
before enjoying great-tasting coffee.
Carafe Tray
Once your coffee is brewed, it needs no
external heating to keep it warm so there
is no warming plate. Instead, there is a
carafe tray to position the carafe while
your coffee is brewing.
Bottom of the Carafe is Hot
Immediately After Brewing
After brewing, the carafe can be quite
warm. Use discretion when placing
the carafe on unprotected surfaces
immediately after brewing.
“Brew-Through” Lid
The lid is designed so that the carafe will
accept hot, fresh coffee from the brew
basket while the lid is on. Before brewing
be sure the lid is secure. Do not turn, or
unlock, the lid to brew or the lid could
fall off later while you are pouring coffee.
The Lid Makes Pouring Easy
The special lid design allows you to pour
coffee without turning a stopper or
pressing a button.
To Serve: Make sure the pouring
indentation in the carafe lid is aligned
with the pouring spout, then simply tilt
and pour.
