Cleaning the Motor
Compartment

If the motor compartment becomes dusty, it should
be cleaned. To do this, remove the bottom ventila-
tion grille as follows.
CAUTION
!
• To avoid injury from sharp edges, wear
protective gloves before performing the
following steps.
• To prevent possible injury from an
electrical shock, be sure to disconnect
the power cord or turn OFF the circuit
breaker before performing the following
steps.
For a right-hand hinged door:
1. Remove the cover caps and screws (A)
.
2. Loosen (but do not remove) the left-hand screw
on the hinge bracket (B)
.
3. Remove the cover panel (C).
4. Slide the ventilation grille (D) to the left.
The motor compartment can then be cleaned with
a vacuum cleaner.
After cleaning, replace the ventilation grille.
Make sure you re-tighten the screw on the hinge
bracket properly.
For a left-hand hinged door:
1. Remove the cover caps and screws (A)
.
2. Loosen (but do not remove) the right-hand screw
on the hinge bracket (C)
.
3. Remove the cover panel (B).
4. Slide the ventilation grille (D) to the right.
