INTRODUCTION
To get the best out of your new appliance, please read
thisuserguidecarefullybeforeusingitfortherst
time. Take particular note of the safety precautions.
We also recommend that you keep the instructions for
future reference, so that you can remind yourself of the
functions of your appliance.
SAFETY MEASURES
Normal use of the appliance
• Incorrect use of this appliance may cause personal
injury and damage to the appliance.
• Use for its intended purpose only. The manufacturer
is not responsible for any injury or damage resulting
from incorrect use or handling (see also Guarantee
Terms).
• For connection to 230 V, 50 Hz only. The appliance
must be earthed.
• For domestic use only. Not for outdoor or
commercial use.
• Removetheplugfromthesocketonceyouhave
nishedusingtheapplianceandbeforecleaning.
• Wait until the appliance has cooled off completely
before cleaning or storing.
• Please note that the appliance will remain hot for a
while after you switch it off. Always allow it to cool
completely before you put it away or clean it.
• The internal and external surfaces get very hot in
use. Avoid touching hot surfaces to avoid risk of
burns. Touch the handles only.
• Never touch the appliance if your hands are wet or
damp.
• Do not submerge in water or any other liquid.
• Keep the appliance under constant supervision
while in use. keep an eye on children.
• Do not use metal implements to remove burnt-on
residue. They can scratch the non-stick coating.

Positioning the appliance
• Always place the appliance on a level, dry, stable
and heat-resistant surface.
• Always place the appliance at the back of a kitchen
counterandatasafedistancefromammable
objects such as curtains, tablecloths or similar.
• The appliance must not be placed or stored near
other sources of heat.
• Do not cover.
Cord, plug and mains socket
• Do not allow the cord to hang over the edge of a
table/counter, and keep it away from hot objects
andnakedames.
• Do not wind the cord around the appliance.
• Checkthatitisnotpossibletopullortripoverthe
cord or any extension cord.
• Removetheplugfromthesocketwhencleaning,or
when the device is not in use. Avoid pulling the cord
when removing the plug from the socket. Instead,
hold the plug.
• Checkregularlythatneitherthecordnorplugis
damaged and do not use if there is any damage, or
ifithasbeendroppedontheoor,droppedinwater
or damaged in any other way.
• If the appliance or plug is damaged, it must
be inspected and if necessary, repaired by an
authorised repair engineer, otherwise there is a risk
of electric shock. Never try to repair the appliance
yourself.Unauthorisedrepairsormodicationswill
invalidate the guarantee. Please contact the store
where you bought the appliance for repairs under
guarantee.

PRIOR TO FIRST USE
• Removeallpackagingandtransportmaterials
internally and externally.
• Wipe internal and external surfaces with a well-
wrung cloth using hot water and allow to dry.
• Fully extend the cord.
USE
1. Plug in and switch the power on.
2. Open lid and apply a little butter, margarine or oil
ontothelowermould.Closethelidagain.
3. Switch on by setting the set button to the level
required.
4. When the set temperature is reached, the
thermostat light will go out and the appliance is
ready for use.
5. Openlidandpouraportionofwafemixontothe
lower mould.
o Avoid pouring too much. The mix must not
overowthemould.
6. Closethelidandbakethewafesforapprox.3
minutes depending on how brown you like them.
