0. The slicer can be used to cut meat, ham,
sausages, bread, vegetables or cheese. Put
the food plate onto the feeder. Place the
food between the food plate and the
supporting plate. Then push the feeder
forwards towards the blade. Move the
feeder back and forward. Hold the food
plate against the blade without pushing, to
ensure equal sized pieces.
- Always use food carriage and food pusher
- The electrical voltage must correspond with
the voltage stated on the label at the
bottom of the appliance.
- When finishing slicing, unplug the unit. For
safety and blade protection when storing,
turn thickness adjusting knob to 0.
TO CLEAN
- Unplug slicer from outlet.
- Adjust the slice thickness adjustment knob
to position before cleaning. At this position
the supporting plate can be pulled out for
easier cleaning.
- Always take off the blade and clean first. To
clean the blade; release the knife blade, by
turning the holder with the supplied tool.
Take out the blade by gripping the hole of
the blade.
- The blade, food press plate, feeder, and
food tray can be washed with a soft cloth or
sponge and a mild soap or a spray cleaner.
- Clean the outer surface of the motor
assembly with a damp cloth only. Never
immerse the slicer in water. Motor never
needs oiling
- Never use steel wool or scouring powder on
any part of the slicer.
- After cleaning, install the blade and blade
locking knob on motor assembly. Make sure
the blade locking knob is properly engaged.
STORAGE
- Set the slice thickness adjustment knob to 0
position.
- The appliance should be stored away from
children in a dry place.
FOR BEST RESULT
- To slice meats wafer thin, chill thoroughly
before slicing.
- Meats should be boneless. Fruits should be
free of seeds.
- Foods with an uneven texture - like fish and
thin steaks - are often difficult to slice.
Partially freeze before slicing.
- At canning time, use the slicer to quickly cut
cucumbers and onions for attractive
pickles. Apples for pies. Vegetables for the
freezer.
ENVIRONMENTAL TIP
An electronic appliance should, when it is no
longer capable of functioning be disposed of
with least possible environmental damage and
according to the local regulations in your
municipality In most cases you can discharge
the appliance at your local recycling center.
