INTRODUCTION
To get the best out of your new oven, please read through these instructions
carefullybeforeusingitforthersttime.Takeparticularnoteofthesafety
precautions. We also recommend that you keep the instructions for future reference,
so that you can remind yourself of the functions of the oven.
IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
The oven may only be used for its original purpose, i.e. for preparing food for
domestic purposes.
The oven is for indoor use only.
Do not use the oven if the cord or plug is damaged, if it is not functioning
properly, or if it has been damaged by a heavy impact or similar.
Do not use the oven if there are cleaning agent residues inside it.
Only use accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
Keep an eye on any children in the vicinity of the oven when it is in use.
The oven will become very hot during use. When the oven is hot, only touch
the oven’s door handle and the controls, and be very careful when handling hot
dishes, accessories or foods – use a potholder!
Under no circumstances must the oven, cord or plug be immersed in water or
any form of liquid.
Make sure you do not scratch the glass in the oven door, and never place
objects on the oven door when it is open.
Never try to repair it yourself.
Remove the plug from the socket before cleaning, or when not in use. Always
take hold of the plug – never pull the cord.
Never move the oven when it is hot or contains hot oil or other forms of liquid.
If the oven, cord or plug needs to be repaired, it should be taken to an
authorised service centre. If the oven is subjected to unauthorised repairs, the
guarantee will become void. Please contact the store where you bought the
device for repairs under guarantee.

the vent holes on the sides and top of the oven are not covered. If these are
covered while the oven is in use, there is a risk of it overheating.
Do not allow the cord to hang over the edge of the table/counter, and protect it
fromheatoropename.Positionanyextensioncordsothatitisnotpossibleto
trip over it.
Do not place the oven next to hot areas, for example gas rings and electric
hotplates.
The oven should not be placed on untreated wood surfaces, as it may damage
them.
Fire hazard!
• Toreducetheriskofreoccurringintheovencompartment,pleasenotethe
following points:
Do not cover the crumb tray, the heating elements or sides of the oven with tin
foil.
Do not use steel scourers to clean the oven, since it is possible for steel
fragments to break off and so increase the risk of electric shock.
Food must not touch the oven’s heating elements.
Only use dishes, tins and other kitchen utensils that are intended for use in
ovens,forexample,glass,reproofceramicormetal.
Do not use the oven compartment for storing anything other than the
accompanying accessories.
Do not cook food for too long or at too high a temperature, and do not leave the

PREPARING THE OVEN
Each individual oven is checked at the factory, but for safety’s sake, after unpacking
the oven, you should check carefully that it has not been damaged during transport.
Check whether there is any visible damage (e.g. in the form of dents or similar),
whether the door (1) closes properly, and whether the hinges are in working order. If
it appears that the oven has been damaged, you must contact the shop where you
bought it, and do not use it until it has been checked by an authorised specialist.
Make sure that you have removed all packaging, all stickers and transport
materials from the inside and outside of the oven.
Ensure that the oven is positioned correctly (see the safety measures above).
Plug in.
Wash and wipe the grill (9) and the baking tray before use.
The heating elements were oiled during manufacture and these will therefore smoke
slightlywhentheovenisrstused.Thisisentirelysafeandwillstopafterafew
minutes.
However, so that the food does not taste of this smoke, we recommend that you
takethefollowingactionbeforeusingtheovenforthersttime:
Leave the oven door ajar.
Set the function selector (5) to the upper and lower heating with convection
position, and set the temperature control (3) to the “HIGH” position.
Set the timer (4) to 15 minutes. The oven switches on automatically and is
switched off when 15 minutes have elapsed.
The smoke will now have completely disappeared, and you can use the oven to
cook food.
OPERATING THE OVEN
1. Check that the crumb tray (2) is correctly positioned.
2. Place food in the oven (unless the oven has to be preheated).
3. Close the oven door.
4. Select the required function using the function selector (see the above section
“Function Selector Positions”).
5. Turn the temperature selector to select the required oven temperature.
• Caution! The convection function cuts out at temperatures under 80 °C, even
if you have selected it on the function selector.
6. Set the timer to the required cooking time, OR turn it to the “ON” position. The
oven switches on when the timer is activated.
•Caution!Convectionovensaremoreefcientthannormalovens.Ifyouuse
the convection function, then the cooking time will most likely be shorter than
with a normal oven.
• The control light (7) illuminates when the oven is switched on.
• The oven compartment lamp (11) can be turned on and off during cooking by
using the on/off button (6).
7. The oven is switched off automatically when the set time on the timer has
passed. If you have turned the timer to the “ON” position then you must switch
off the oven manually by turning the timer to the “OFF” position.
• You will hear a bell signal when the oven is switched off and the indicator
light goes out.
After use
Switch the oven off after use, and let it cool down completely.
Remove the plug from the socket.
