INTRODUCTION
To get the best out of your new travel kettle,
please read through these instructions
carefully before using it for the first time. We
also recommend that you keep the
instructions for future reference, so that you
can remind yourself of the functions of your
kettle.
SAFETY MEASURES
Normal use of the electric travel kettle
Incorrect use of this kettle may cause
personal injury and damage to the kettle.
Use the kettle for its intended purpose
only. The manufacturer is not
responsible for any damage resulting
from incorrect use or handling (see also
Guarantee Terms).
This travel kettle can be connected to
either 230 V or 120 V. Please note that
the switch in the base must be set to the
correct supply voltage before use.
Check that the kettle is empty before
turning it upside down.
The kettle should not be switched on
unless there is water in it.
The water level in the kettle must not be
below the minimum (MIN) or above the
maximum (MAX) filling level marked on
the water level gauge within the kettle.
The kettle or the cord must not be
placed in water or any other liquid.
Never leave the kettle unattended when
in use and keep an eye on children.
•Avoid touching the outside of the kettle
when in use, as it becomes hot. Touch
the handle and lid only. Be careful of the
hot steam when opening the lid.
This travel kettle is not suitable for
commercial or outdoor use.
When using this electric travel kettle
abroad, an adaptor may be required (not
included).
Positioning your electric travel kettle
Always place the kettle on a firm, level
surface and at a safe distance from table
edges and flammable objects such as
curtains, tablecloths or similar.
Always position the kettle so that the
spout is turned away from other
surfaces, as the steam from the boiling
water may damage them.
Do not cover the kettle.
Do not allow the cord to hang over the
edge of a table/counter, and keep it
away from hot objects and naked
flames.
Cord, plug and mains socket
Check regularly that the cord and plug
are not damaged and do not use the
kettle if so, or if it has been dropped or
damaged in any other way.
If the kettle, cable or plug is damaged,
the kettle must be inspected and, if
necessary, repaired by an authorised
repair engineer, otherwise there is a risk
of electric shock. Never try to repair the
appliance yourself.
Remove the plug from the socket for
cleaning.
•Avoid pulling the cord when removing
the plug from the socket. Instead, hold
the plug.
Make sure that it is not possible to pull
or trip over the kettle cord or any
extension cord.
