USING YOUR SANDWICH TOASTER
1) Before first use clean the surface of
the cooking plate with a damp cloth
and then wipe again with a dry cloth.
Oil the cooking plate with olive oil,
butter, margarine, or any cooking fat.
2) Insert the plug into a suitable mains
supply socket.
3) Ensure the appliance is placed
horizontal on a flat surface and close
the toaster.
4) Turn the power on at the mains
socket. The red “power” indicator
light will illuminate.
5) Prepare the sandwich while waiting
for the toaster to heat up.
6) After 4 to 6 minutes the required
temperature would have been
reached indicated by the green
“ready” indicator light illuminating.
7) Open the sandwich toaster and
place in the sandwich. Be careful of
the hot surfaces.
8) For golden brown toasted
sandwiches, place the buttered sides
of the bread onto the cooking plates.
9) Close both halves of the sandwich
toaster without placing too much
force on the sandwich. If too much
force is required to close the
sandwich toaster, the clip may come
loose or break during toasting.
10) Keep the sandwich toaster closed
during toasting.
11) Toasting time will depend on the
type of bread used and personal
preferences.
12) After toasting is complete open the
toaster and remove sandwich with a
plastic or wooden utensil. Never use
a metal or sharp object, as this will
damage the non-stick coating on
the cooking plates.
13) Close the sandwich toaster to retain
the heat if further use is required.
14) After use, remove the plug from the
power socket outlet.
WARNING: Do not operate the
appliance in the vertical position.
This is for storage only.
Helpful Hints:
1) Preheat cooking plates before use.
2) Smaller or drier fillings may require
pre-toasting of the bread to reduce
toasting time in the sandwich toaster.
3) You can use butter with herbs for
extra flavour.
4) Lard on the outside of the bread can
improve taste.
5) Sprinkling sugar on the outside
of the bread will result in crispier
toasted sandwiches.
CARE AND CLEANING
1) Always turn the power off, remove
the plug from the power supply
outlet and allow the product to cool
completely before cleaning.
2) Wipe the interior as well as the
side of the cooking plates with an
absorbent tissue, paper towel or soft
cloth. Never use an abrasive cloth
to clean the appliance. Clean after
each use to prevent any caking of
fillings.
3) Re-oil the cooking plates taking care
to wipe up any excess oil as this
can become hard and sticky during
storage.
4) Wipe the outside of the toaster with
a slightly dampened cloth and polish
with a soft dry cloth.
DO NOT IMMERSE THE APPLIANCE
OR THE CORD IN WATER OR ANY
OTHER LIQUID.
