OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1To open, hold the unit vertically, gripping the cover in one hand, and
the grinder in the other.
2Turn the cover to move the pointer from to .
3 Gently lift the cover off.
INSTALL BATTERIES FOR OPERATION
1 Fit 4 AA Alkaline batteries into the motor unit.
2 The polarities (+ and -) are marked on the battery compartment.
FILL THE GRINDER
1 Lift the motor unit off the grinder.
2 Fill the grinder with peppercorns, sea salt, dried herbs or spices.
3 Don't overfill, or it won't fit together.
4 Align the pointers on the bottom of the motor unit with
the padlocks on the top of the grinder, and lower the motor
unit on to the grinder.
5 The spindle should slide easily into the centre of the motor unit.
6 Lower the cover on to the motor unit.
7 Align the pointer on the cover with the open padlock ,
push the cover down, then turn it to align the pointer with the
closed padlock .
ADJUST THE GRINDER
1Turn the whole mill upside down, and turn the knob right (-) until it
won't go any further.
2 Now turn it left (+) a little.
3Turn the mill right way up, and press and release the switch.
4 Check the grind size, and adjust till it's the way you want it.
5 Don't turn it more than 6 complete turns towards +, or you may
unscrew the knob from the spindle.
6 Set the base down and sit the mill on the base.

1 Do not immerse the unit in water or any liquid.
2 Do not mix old and new batteries.
3Avoid contacting moving parts.
4 The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the manufacturer
may cause injury.
5 Remove the batteries and store in a dry, cool place when not in use.
6 Don't run the motor for more than 1 minute, or it may overheat. After
1 minute, switch off for at least 3 minutes, to let the motor cool.
7 Don't use the appliance for any purposes other than those described in
these instructions.
8 Don't run the appliance empty, it may overheat.
9 Don't use the appliance if it's damaged or malfunctions.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Wipe the outside of the mills with a clean dry cloth. Don't let them get
wet or damp, and don't use detergent.
BATTERY CARE
1 Check that the batteries are fitted correctly - there's a guide inside the
battery compartment.
2 Don't leave dead batteries in the appliance, they may leak over
the product and surroundings.
3 Unless you're using the batteries regularly, it's best to remove
them altogether.
4 When you need new batteries, change them all. Don't use new and used
batteries together.
5 Don't use different kinds of batteries together.
6 Don't put old batteries in a fire or incinerator.
7 Don't try to recharge batteries unless they're specifically designed to
be recharged.
