MAKING SOUP
REHEATING
Place the ingredients and seasonings into the Inner Pot.
Place Inner Pot into the main unit.

Press the PORRIDGE & SOUP button.

Close the Outer Lid and plug in the power cord into electrical outlet.

• The PORRIDGE & SOUP lamp lights and begins steaming.
• When the soup cycle (approximately 1 hour and half) is complete,
KEEP WARM lamp will light and the cooker will automatically turn to the
Keep Warm mode.
• When soup is done, press KEEP WARM/OFF button to cancel function.
• Make sure to unplug the power cord after use.
• Always stir the rice in the Inner Pot to prevent scorching.
• Level the rice.
• Press KEEP WARM/OFF button to cancel operation.
• The REHEAT lamp will light and begin reheating.
• Reheating takes approximately 20-30 minutes depending on the
rice temperature.
• Press KEEP WARM/OFF button to cancel reheating.
Select the PORRIDGE & SOUP menu to make a soup.
Stir the rice and make it level.

Stir the rice again when reheating is completed.

Press the REHEAT button.

• When reheating is completed, the KEEP WARM lamp will light and the cooker
will return to KEEP WARM mode.
• Make sure to stir the rice thoroughly as the rice at the bottom may become
slightly hard.
• Make sure to unplug the power cord after use.
Rice being kept warm may be reheated.

REHEATING
• For better results, reheat rice when the Inner Pot is less than half full.
• Do not reheat other than white or rinse-free rice.
• Do not reheat rice more than once as this may cause rice to burn, turn yellow or develop an odor.
• Sprinkle some water on the rice when reheating a small amount of the rice. This will prevent the rice from
becoming dry. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of water per 2 bowls of rice.
• Do not reheat cold rice as this may cause the rice to develop an odor.
