Cleaning the stainless steel heating plate
Thiskettlefeaturesanon-corrosivestainless
steelheatingplate.Overtime,scalemay
buildupontheheatingplateinsidethe
kettle,causingdiscolourationthatmayhave
theappearanceofrust.Beassuredthisis
notrust.Ifthisoccurscleanwithagreen
Scotchbrite
®
scourerorsimilarandasuitable
abrasivecleaningcream.Rinseandclean
thoroughlywithtapwaterbeforeusingyour
kettleagain.
Removal of mineral deposits
Mineraldepositsintapwatermaycausethe
interiortodiscolour.Toremovethisbuildup,
useSunbeamLiquidDescaler,asimpleto
use,non-toxiccleaneravailablefrom
SunbeamAppointedServiceCentres.
Alternatively:
1.Fillthekettlewith3cupsofwhitevinegar
andtheremainderwithwaterandallowto
standovernight.DONOTBOIL.
2.Emptythesolutionfromthekettle.Any
stainsremaininginsidethespoutcanbe
removedbyrubbingwithadampcloth.
Fillthekettlewithcleanwater,bringto
boilandthendiscardthewater.Repeat
andthekettlewillthenbereadytouse.
Theoutsideofthekettlecanbewipedover
withadampcloth.
CAUTION:Donotusechemicals,steelwool,
orabrasivecleanerstocleantheoutsideof
thekettle.
To clean the mesh filter
Graspthetopofthemeshfilterandpull
upwardstoremove.Washinwarmsoapy
wateranddrythoroughlybeforereplacingin
thekettle.
To clean the kettle exterior
Cleantheexteriorsurfaceofyourkettlewith
adampclothandthenwipedrywithasoft
drycloth.
