Before using your kettle.
Itisrecommendedthatyoucleanyourkettle
beforeusingitbyfillingthekettlewithwater
tothemaximumlevelindicator,boilingthe
wateranddiscarding.
Using your Glass Temperature Kettle
Important:Donotfillthekettleoverthe
maximumlevel,aswatermayspilloutofthe
spoutwhenboiling.
1.Tofillthekettle,removeitfromthepower
baseandremovethelidbyturningtothe
leftandpullingupwards.Alternatively,the
kettlemaybefilledthroughthepouring
spout.Donotfillthekettlebelowthe'min'
indication.
2.Fillthekettlewiththedesiredamountof
water.Alwaysfillthekettlebetweenthe
minimumandmaximummarks.Toolittle
waterwillresultinthekettleswitchingoff
beforethewaterhasboiled.
3.Replacethelidensuringitlocksinto
position.
4.Placethekettleontothepowerbase.Plug
thepowercordintoa230-240VoltAC
poweroutletandswitchthepoweron.
5.Pressthe‘SELECT’buttontotogglebetween
fourpre-settemperatures:80°C,85°C,
90°Cand100°C(boil).Yourselectedwater
temperaturewillbeindicatedbyawhite
LEDilluminatingdirectlybelowtheprinted
temperatures.SeeFigure1.
Tip: TheVariableTemperatureKettlehasfour
optimumteatemperaturesyoucanselect
from:80°C,85°C,90°Cand100°C(boil).
Thesearetherecommendedtemperatures
forbrewinggreen,white,oolong,herbaland
blackteas.Refertothe‘TeaBrewingStyles
andTips’tableonpage6fortheidealtea
temperatureforyourtea.
6.Tomaintainthetemperatureofthe
selectedwatertemperatureoncethe
heatingcyclehasfinished,simplypress
the‘KEEP WARM’button.Thiswillmaintain
thetemperatureselectedforupto20
minutes.The‘KEEP WARM’buttonwill
remainilluminatedtoindicatethatithas
beenselected.
Note:The‘KEEP WARM’buttoncanbe
pressedwhenselectingyourdesiredwater
temperatureorafterthepower‘START/
CANCEL’
buttonhasbeenpressed(during
theboilingcycle).The‘KEEP WARM’button
willilluminatetoindicatethatithasbeen
selected.
Note:Ifthe‘KEEP WARM’buttonisselected
whenthe100°C(boil)temperaturehasbeen
selected,thekettlewillboilto100°C,drop
to90°Candmaintainat90°Cforupto20
minutes.
