Troubleshooting
Problem
Possible Cause and/or Remedy
Range will not function.
Range is not connected to electrical power:
Have electrician check power circuit breaker,
wiring, and fuses.
Oven does not operate in
self-clean.
Door is not shut tight enough for automatic
door latch to lock.
Oven is not clean after self-
clean cycle.
Temperature control knob not rotated all the
way past clean until it stops.
Broil does not work.
Temperature control knob is rotated too far
past broil position.
Door will not open.
Oven is still in self-clean mode. If oven is
hot, door latch will release when safe
temperature is reached.
Oven light will not work.
Light bulb is burned out.
Range is not connected to power.
Igniters will not work.
Circuit is tripped.
Fuse is blown.
Range is not connected to power.
Igniters sparking but no
flame ignition.
Gas supply valve is in “OFF” position.
Gas supply is interrupted.
Igniters sparking
continuously after flame
ignition.
Power supply is not grounded.
Power supply polarity is reversed.
Igniters are wet or dirty.
Burner ignites but flame is
large, distorted, or yellow.
Burner ports are clogged.
Unit is being operated on wrong type of gas.
Air shutters not properly adjusted.
