C24EA SERIES ELECTRIC CONVECTION STEAMERS
Figure 3. Deliming port location
5. Pour deliming solution into the steam
generator slowly to avoid spillage.
6. Remove funnel from delime port then rinse
port and surrounding area with clean water.
Wipe dry.
7. Lightly coat delime port threads with Petrol-
Gel then install delime port cap. Cap must be
installed and tightened securely at all times.
8. Press and hold the delime switch to DELIME
position until the DELIME light comes on
(approx. 3 seconds).
Note: Lights will illuminate on the delime switch
and on the power switch, indicating that
the deliming cycle has begun. The cycle
will take about 60 minutes to complete.
As the deliming cycle nears completion, the
light on the power switch will turn off. Once the
generator has completely drained, the light on
the delime switch will turn off. This completes
the deliming cycle.
9. It is necessary to rinse the generator of any
residual deliming solution. To rinse the
generator simply repeat step 8, wait at least
10 minutes, and press the delime switch to
the off/bottom position. The machine will
then go through a drain cycle.
10. The steamer is ready for operation or
shutdown.
Door Gasket
If the door gasket is leaking due to a nick or cut,
it must be replaced. Damage to the gasket
sealing surface will cause steam leakage.
Draining Generator
Drain the generator at the end of each day to
flush out minerals and minimize scale buildup.
The generator drains automatically for
approximately 5 minutes after the power switch
is turned to off.
