Changing the light bulb. . .
WARNING: Before removing the light bulb, either
unplug the refrlgerator or disconnect
the electricity leading to the re-
frigerator at the main power supply.
Shock and injury can occur if elec-
tricity remains connected.
I. Reach behind control console to find bulb
2. Remove bulb
3. Rep/me with opphance bulb only
Ice cube trays.. .
To remove Ice:

Hold tray at both ends
l
Slightly twist.
If cubes are not used, they may shrtnk The movrng
cold air starts a slow evaporatron The longer cubes
are stored. the smaller they get
Sounds you may hear...
Your new refrigerator may make sounds that your old one drdn’t
Because the sounds are new to you, you might be concerned about
them Don’t be Most of the new sounds are normal Hard surfaces like
the floor, walls and cabinets can make the sounds seem louder.
The followtng chart describes the kinds of sounds that might be new
to you, and what may be makrng them

Water Sounds:
When the refrigerator stops running. you may hear gurgltng in the tubing for a
few minutes after It stops You may also hear defrost water running into the
defrost water pan

Running Sounds:
Your refrigerator has a high-effrcrency compressor and motor It

than older designs. It may even seem to run most of the time

You can help your refrigerator use less electrrcrty.

Check door gaskets for a tight seal. Level the cab-
rnet to be sure of a good seal

Clean the condenser coil regularly

Open the door as few times as possrble. Thank
about what you need before you open the door
Get everything out at one time. Keep foods orga-
nized so you won’t have to search for what you
want. Close door as soon as food is removed.

Go ahead and fill up the refrigerator, but don’t
overcrowd it so air movement is blocked.

It is a waste of electrrcrty to set the refrigerator and
freezer to temperatures colder than they need to
be If ice cream

Make sure your refrigerator is not next to a heat
source such as a range, water heater. furnace.
radiator, or in direct sunlight

Keep the Power Saving Control on OFF unless
moisture forms on the refrigerator exterior.
