Printout problems
The font selected with software commands won't print.
Cause What to do
You may use the printer
fonts substituted for
specified TrueType fonts.
In the printer driver, choose “
Print
TrueType fonts as bitmap
” on the
Optional Setting menu.
The selected font is not
supported by your printer.
Be sure you have installed the correct
font. See Appendix D for more
information.
Some or all of the printout is garbled or printed as asterisks
Cause What to do
The interface cable may not
be plugged in securely.
Make sure that both ends of the
interface cable are plugged in
securely.
You may not be using the
correct interface cable.
Make sure you use a double-shielded,
twisted-pair parallel interface cable no
longer than six feet in length.
The emulation setting for the
port may not be correct.
Specify the emulation mode with the
SelecType.
If the printer still does not print correctly, contact your dealer or a
qualified service person.
