A software program designed to perform a specific task, such
as a word processing, image editing, or spreadsheet program.
bi-directional parallel interface
An interface Epson TWAIN uses to communicate between the
computer and the scanner.
A scanner function to lighten or darken the output image data.
color correction
A method of adjusting the color image data for a particular
type of device so that the reproduction results become close to
the original colors.
cursor
The highlighted marker that shows your position on the screen.
device
A piece of equipment that is part of a computer system and
performs a specific task, such as a disk drive, a monitor, a
printer, or a scanner. Also called a peripheral.
device driver
A file containing instructions that allow your computer to
recognize and control a device.
