The R UG /F LOOR (TOOLS )selector s hould only be
adjus ted while the vacuum cleaner is turned on
and in the upright pos ition.
When cleaning a rug or carpet,first turn the
ON/OF F switch to the ON position,and then
set the R UG /F LOOR (T OOLS )selector to the
R UG position.
When cleaning a bare floor or when using
one of the attachments, s et the R UG/F LOOR
(T OOLS )selector to the F LOOR position.
C aution: Do not change the setting of the R UG /F LOOR (T OOLS )selector while the vacuum
cleaner is turned off.
