Choosing Picture Quality Mode/Image Size
(PIC QUALITY/SIZE)
The size of a stored still image depends on the Picture Quality Mode
and image size settings.
There are two Picture Quality Modes: N (Normal) and F (Fine).
Combining Picture Quality Mode and Image Size
Figures inside the bold frame indicate those shown on the screen.
In Movie Mode, you can select 320 × 240 or 160 × 120.
When Scene Mode is set to [TEXT MODE], you can select 2816 × 2112 or
2048 × 1536.

Picture Quality Modes
Symbol Mode Description
Normal The compression ratio is high, resulting in a small file. Normally,
shooting is done in this mode.
Fine The compression ratio is low, resulting in a large file, but the picture
quality is better than in Normal.
