Introduction
Disks
Hard disk drive Available in four sizes.
■ 30.0 billion bytes (27.94 GB)
■ 40.0 billion bytes (37.26 GB)
■ 60.0 billion bytes (55.88 GB)
■ 80.0 billion bytes (74.52 GB)
■ About 2GB disk space is reserved for recovery partition.
■ When re-setting up your hard disk, do not change, delete or add
partitions in a manner other than specified in the manual. Otherwise,
space for software may be destroyed.
■ In addition, if you use a third-party partitioning program to reconfigure
partitions on your hard disk, it may become impossible to re-setup your
computer.
USB floppy disk
drive (Optional)
Accommodates either 3 1/2" 1.44-megabyte or
720-kilobyte floppy disks. It connects to a USB
port.
Computers in this series can be configured with a Fixed optical media
drive. The available optical media drives are described below.
CD-ROM drive Some models are equipped with a full-size, CD-
ROM drive module that lets you run CD without
using an adaptor. It reads CD-ROMs at
maximum 24 speed. This drive supports the
following formats:
■ CD-DA
■ CD-Text
■ Photo CD™ (single/multi-session)
■ CD-ROM Mode 1, Mode 2
■ CD-ROM XA Mode 2 (Form1, Form2)
■ Enhanced CD (CD-EXTRA)
■ CD-G (Audio CD only)
■ Addressing Method 2
