• Place cooking pot and cooking basket into appliance body and place the top cover as shown.
• When cooking hang top cover on handle as shown.
Once seasoning is complete, the appliance is now ready for use. The cooking chamber will continue to darken with use. This
will inhibit rusting along with improving the performance of the infrared cooking system.
NOTE: Before cooking on your appliance for the first time, refer to the Outdoor Grilling Guide on how to prepare the
appliance for cooking. It is recommended that you season your appliance prior to cooking.

• Use of mesh top cover is optional. Heat will reflect off of the top cover and provide additional browning to the top of your
meat._ Be careful - the top cover can cause the heat to reflect too much, so as to burn the top of your meat. The top cover
helps when cooking in temperatures below 40°F or in high-wind conditions.
