UTENSIL GUIDE
1. Glass or Pyrex dishes allow energy to pass through the utensil and heat the food.
2. Microwaves cannot penetrate metal, so don’t use metal dishes or utensils. Neither use any dish which has
metallic decorations or a gold-foiled pattern.
3. Do not use recycled paper products when microwave cooking, as these may contain small metal fragments
which may cause sparks and or fires.
4. Use round or oval dishes rather than square or oblong ones, as food in corners tends to overcook.
5. Narrow strips of aluminum foil may be used to prevent overcooking of exposed areas.( on drum stick ends and
such ) But be keep a distance of at least 1 inch (2.54cm) between the foil and the cavity to prevent arching.
