Sanitizing
If the blender will not be used again within 1 hour,
sanitize the container in the following manner:
1. After washing the jar, fill it with a cold chlorine-
based sanitizing solution that has a minimum
chlorine concentration of 100 parts per million.
See recommended solution below.
2. Place the cover/filler cap on the jar and blend on
C cycle or the High setting for a minimum of 2
minutes.
3. Empty the jar but do not rinse.
4. Dry the jar by placing it on the blender base and
turn the blender on C (Slide-step cycle) or the
High setting for 2 seconds.
Recommended Sanitizing Solution:
The sanitizing solution should consist of 1
tablespoon of household bleach per 1 gallon of
clean, cool water (60° F, 16° C) mixed according
to the instructions on the bleach. When using a
sanitizing solution other than that recommended,
the sanitizing solution concentration should be
tested using commercially available test strips
and should indicate a concentration between
100 and 200 parts per million of bleach to water.
