Always use salt intended for use with dishwashers.
The salt container is located beneath the lower rack and should be filled as follows:
Remove the lowerbasket andthen unscrew and remove the capfrom thesalt
container.
Ifyou are fillingthecontainerfor the first time ,fill 2/3 of its volumewith water.
Placethe end ofthe funnel(supplied) intothe holeandintroduceabout 2kg of
salt .It is normal for a small amount of water to come out of the salt container
Carefully screw the cap back on.

Unscrewthe cap from the salt container.
Thereis aringon the container with an arrow on it (see Figure to the side),if
necessary, rotate the ring in the anticlockwise direction from the "-" Setting
toward the "+" sign, based on thehardness of thewaterbeingused.It is
recommendedthatadjustments should be madein accordance with the following
schema:

The saltcontainermust be refilled when the salt warninglightcomes on. Thoughthesalt containeris filled
enough, theindicatorlight maynot black out before thesalt fullydissolve.
Iftherearespillsof the salt,a soak program could be run to wipethem out.
Contact yourlocal water board forinformation on the hardness of your water supply.
Thehardness of thewatervariesfromplacetoplace. If hard wateris usedin the dishwasher, deposits will form onthe dishes
andutensils.
Theappliances is equippedwith a special softenerthat uses a salt specifically designed to eliminate lime and minerals from the
water.
Thedishwasher isdesigned to allow for adjustingthe amountof salt consumed based on the hardness of the water used.

follows:
There are two ways to reduce the hardness: one way is using water softener, the other is using
detergent.
