PRIOR TO FIRST USE
• Remove all packaging once you have
unpacked your tabletop grill.
• Clean the tabletop grill before using it for
the first time (see Cleaning and
Maintenance).
• The first time the tabletop grill is used
there may be a strange smell. This is due
to excess material from the
manufacturing process being burnt off
from the hot plate (4). This is completely
normal, and the smell will soon
disappear.
HEALTHIER GRILLING
• The hot plate has a non-stick coating.
Therefore, when grilling, you only need to
use very small quantities of fat or none at
all.
•Oil and melted fat from the food collects
in the small detachable tray (6) beneath
the hotplate.
USE
•Prepare the items to be grilled. Clean
them and use a marinade or spices
according to taste. If necessary, coat
them with a thin layer of oil or a little
margarine. Dry wet foods, such as fish,
before you grill them.
• Check that the adjustment button (2) is
set to OFF before you plug the grill in.
• During grilling, oil or fat may run out into
the drainage channel (5) around the
hotplate, so check that the collection tray
(6) is in place on the rails (8) underneath
the grill.
• Plug in. Turn the adjustment button in the
direction of the arrow to the required
temperature setting (1 being the lowest
and 5 the highest). The indicator light (3)
comes on and the hot plate heats up.
The hotplate is ready for use when the
indicator lamp goes out. During use the
indicator light will switch on and off as
the thermostat comes on and off.
• Place the items to be grilled on the
hotplate. You must not use metal utensils
or utensils with a sharp edge on the
hotplate, as it has a special non-stick
coating. Instead use wooden or plastic
utensils.
• NB! The hotplate contains a ring-shaped
heating element. This means that, unlike
an ordinary frying pan, which is hottest in
the centre, the hotplate is hottest in the
area around the heating element.
