~
Grains of salt, sugar and sand (e.g. from cleaning vegetables)
can cause scratches if they get under pan bases. Make sure that
the ceramic surface is clean before placing pans on it.
~
Even a light object could cause damage in certain
circumstances. Do not drop anything on the ceramic surface.
~
Placing hot objects on the sensors and displays could damage
the electronics underneath them. Do not place hot pans on the
sensors and displays.
~
Due to the high temperatures radiated, objects left near the
appliance when it is in use could catch fire. Do not use the
appliance to heat up the room.
~
The control panel and the hob frame or hob edges (on hobs with
bevelled edges) can become hot due to the influence of the
following factors: operating duration, high power level(s), large pans
and the number of cooking zones being used.
~
Aluminium pans or pans with an aluminium base can cause
metallic, shiny marks to appear on the ceramic surface. These
marks can be removed using a ceramic and stainless steel hob
cleaner (see "Cleaning and care").
~
To prevent the risk of spillages etc. burning on, remove any
soiling as quickly as possible and ensure that pan bases are clean,
dry and free of grease.
Cleaning and care
