MVH-402GHB — OPERATION
This section is intended to assist the operator with the
initial
start-up
of the compactor. It is extremely important that this
section be read carefully before attempting to use the compactor
in the field.
Refer to Figures 3 and 4 for the location of controls and
components.
Adjusting Handle Height
The height of the handle is adjustable for your comfort .
1. Loosen the butterfly screw (Figure 7).
2. Turn the grip clockwise to raise the handle or counterclock-
wise to lower the handle.
3. When the handle is raised to the desired height, tighten the
butterfly screw.
CAUTION :

2. Move the throttle lever to the START position by opening
it to about 20 degrees (Figure 9).
3. Place the
choke lever
(Figure 10) in the CLOSED position
if starting a
cold
engine.
Starting the Engine
Recoil Start
1. 1. Place the engine
fuel valve lever
to the "ON" position.
(Figure 8).

4. Place the
choke lever
(Figure 11) in the OPEN position if
starting a
warm engine
or the
temperature is warm.
