8. Place the unit on a level counter top and confirm the location is near an electrical
outlet. Position the removable drip tray directly below the spigot.
9. Now, you are ready to enjoy fresh frozen slush drinks.

USING YOUR RETRO VERTICAL SLUSH MACHINE™
A. Remove the top lid to the slush mixing chamber by pinching the lock tab
together while lifting up on the lid and carefully unhinging the front. (Figure
F)

B. Add 6 Tablespoons of regular table salt, rock salt, or coarse/kosher salt and
cup of water in the aluminum ice cylinder. (Be sure to add salt first then water
in order to mix well). Return the top lid to your slush machine, making sure it is
aligned properly over the mixing mechanism and locked down securely to the
clear mixing chamber.
C. Slide the on/off switch back to FREEZE to turn the unit on and begin the slush
making process. (Do not turn the unit OFF during use as the ice cylinder may
freeze).
D. Fill the aluminum ice cylinder with small or broken pieces of ice through
opening labeled ICE AND SALT, to within 1 inch from the cylinder top. (Figure
G). Ensure that the spigot is in the closed position to avoid spillage.
