Preparing the juicer
1 Clean all detachable parts (see chapter ‘Cleaning’).
2 Pull the mains cord out of the cord storage compartment at the back of the appliance.
3 Snap the spout onto the juice collector (Fig. 2).
4 Placethejuicecollectorontotheapplianceandputthelterinthejuicecollector.Makesure
thelteristtedsecurelyontothedrivingshaft(Fig.3).
Alwayscheckthelterbeforeuse.Ifyoudetectanycracksordamage,donotusetheappliance.
ContactthenearestPhilipsservicecentreortaketheappliancetoyourdealer.
5 Push the pulp container against the appliance (‘click’) and put the lid on the appliance. (Fig. 4)
6 Snap the two clamps onto the lid (‘click’). Slide the pusher into the feeding tube. (Fig. 5)
Make sure the clamps on either side of the lid are locked into position.
7 Place the juice jug under the spout (Fig. 6).
The juice jug has a removable foam separator. The foam separator removes the foam from the juice
when you pour the juice into a glass.
Tip: To keep your juice fresh longer, put the cover on the juice jug after juicing.
The appliance only works when all parts are properly assembled and the lid is properly locked in
place with the clamps.
Donotoperatethejuicerformorethan40secondsatatimewhenyouprocessaheavyload.
Lettheappliancecooldownbeforeyoucontinue.
1 Washthefruitand/orvegetablesandcutthemintopiecesthattintothefeedingtube.
2 Makesurethespoutisattachedtothejuicecollectorandthejuicejugisunderthespout.
3 Turn the control knob to setting 1 (low speed) or 2 (normal speed).
Speed 1 is especially suitable for soft fruits and vegetables such as watermelons, grapes,
tomatoes and cucumbers.
Speed 2 is suitable for all other kinds of fruit and vegetables such as apples, carrots and
beetroots.
4 Putthefruitand/orvegetablesinthefeedingtubeandgentlypressthemdowntowardsthe
rotatinglterwiththepusher.
Do not exert too much pressure on the pusher, as this could affect the quality of the end result. It
could even cause the lter to come to a halt.
Neverinsertyourngersoranobjectintothefeedingtube.
5 Ifthepulpcontainerbecomesfullduringuse,switchofftheappliance,carefullyremovethe
pulpcontainerandemptyit.
