WHY GENUINE SPARES ARE BETTER. The quality of
Stiga Original spares is as high as the machine itself. They
are designed, tested and manufactured to run smoothly with
other parts of the system and connect perfectly, which simpli-
fies fitting. Take the drive belt, for instance. Normally a drive
belt only transfers power from one belt pulley to another. On a
ride-on lawn mower, the belt is exposed to higher revolutions,
higher temperatures and also operates as a clutch. For this
reason, the Stiga belt is made of a specific heat-tolerant rubber
compound reinforced on both sides to withstand greater wear
and tear. Where a normal driving belt may shrink – with the
effect that the machine may remain in gear when it should not
