NOTE: Mineral deposits can form a coating in the coffeemaker. This may cause an
off flavor in the coffee and may lengthen brewing time. For this reason, special
cleaning of the coffeemaker is recommended at least once a month, depending on
frequency of use and quality of water.

mark.
2. Place a clean filter in the basket holder and close basket securely.
3. Follow BREWING instruction for brewing 2-4 cups.
4. Wait 15 minutes after coffeemaker has automatically shut off and carefully
pour solution back into water carafe.
5. Follow BREWING instruction for brewing 2-4 cups again. When unit has auto-
matically shut off and dripping stops, discard solution.
6. Allow coffeemaker to cool 15 minutes. Rinse it out by brewing a carafe full of
cold water. Discard water. Rinse and dry carafes, lids and basket holder.
