GENERAL NOTES ON USING YOUR
COOKER
We suggest that you run all the elements for a short
period to burn off any residue from their surfaces.
To do this, run the ovens at 220°C for approximately
45 minutes. The procedure should be repeated with
the grill for approximately 5 - 10 minutes.
During this period an unpleasant odour may be
emitted, it is therefore advisable to open a window
for ventilation.
ABOUT CONDENSATION AND STEAM
When food is heated it produces steam similar to a
boiling kettle. The ovens are vented to allow some of
this steam to escape. However, always stand back
from the appliance when opening the oven door to
allow any build up of steam or heat to release.
If the steam comes into contact with a cool surface
on the outside of the appliance, e.g. a trim, it will
condense and produce water droplets. This is quite
normal and is not caused by a fault on the appliance.
To prevent discolouration, regularly wipe away
condensation and also soilage from surfaces.
For your safety wallcoverings at the rear of the
appliance should be securely fixed to the wall.
PUSH TO TURN CONTROLS
The control knobs must be pushed in towards the
panel before they can be turned or adjusted.
GRILL AND OVEN FURNITURE
The following items of oven furniture have been
supplied with the cooker:
1 grill pan
1 grill pan handle
1 grill pan grid
1 grill deflector
1 meat tin
1 trivet
1 cranked shelf for

Scuffing of the Stayclean oven lining by the oven
furniture pack may occur during transit.
These marks will disappear after the oven elements
have been burnt off for the first time.
