CLEAN BEFORE USING
1. Open cover by holding cover release buttons in and
lifting up. Remove filter screen from spout. Wash
filter screen in hot soapy water with dishcloth, rinse
and dry.
2. Fill kettle with hot tap water to the 4 cup level.
Add a small amount of dishwashing detergent
and wash inside of kettle with a dishcloth or
sponge. Empty kettle, rinse thoroughly and dry.
Replace filter screen by aligning tab(s) on filter
with slot(s) in spout area. See Diagram 2. Push
filter down to secure.
CAUTION: To prevent personal injury or electric
shock, do not immerse electric kettle, power base, its
cord or plug in water or other liquid.
3. Wipe exterior surface of kettle and power base with damp cloth and dry. Your electric kettle
is now ready to use.
SPECIAL NOTE: The electric kettle is designed for heating water only. Do not add instant soups,
powdered drink mixes, other liquids or foods to kettle for heating, as damage to kettle will occur.
TO USE
1. Open cover and fill kettle with cold water to desired cup level, using the 8-ounce cup markings
on kettle as a guide. Water level must be between the MIN and MAX level markings. Do not
fill beyond MAX level to avoid water boiling out of spout. Close cover until secured.
2. Place power base on a dry, level surface. With switch in OFF position, place kettle onto
power base. Plug cord into a 120 volt AC electrical outlet only. Push switch to ON position.
Signal light will glow when kettle is turned on.
