To set up the Advanced NMEA Page:
1.
Press the NMEA Setup soft key to open the Advanced NMEA Setup Page.
2.
To change, enable, or disable NMEA output sentences, highlight the sentence, and
press ENTER to select or clear the check box. Only selected sentences are output.
Update Sub Tab
The Update sub tab shows the status of any software you are uploading to your unit.
The Update sub tab contains the following soft keys:
• Update
—updates software on your unit.
• Prepare Card—updates software for devices on the Garmin Marine Network.
When selected, information about your network installation is collected and
saved to a data card. Use the data card with Marine Updater on your personal
computer to download software updates for your system. Using Marine Updater,
you can put all of the software updates on a data card. When you put the data
card into the unit it will update the software for all devices on the network. Check

Network Tab
The Network tab shows all devices connected to the GPSMAP 3205 and the
Garmin Marine Network, and the status of each. You can assign a name or
identier to each device on your network.
To check the status of a device:
Use the ROCKER to highlight the device. The status of the network device
is shown in the Status window.
To assign a name to a device on the network
1. Use the ROCKER to highlight the device, and then press ENTER to
highlight the Name eld.
2. Use the ROCKER to enter a name for the device.
3. Press ENTER when nished.
NOTE: The GPSMAP 3205 connects to a GPSMAP 4000/5000 series but
cannot share cartography.
