You will obtain the best results if you press down on the fil-
ter rod slowly with minimal pressure. If the filter is blocked
or if the filter rod cannot be pressed down easily, remove
the rod from the pot (5), stir the coffee and then press it
down again.
CAUTION: You could break a damaged pot by applying
excess pressure, allowing hot water to gush out of the pot.
Take the filter unit (7) apart and clean after every use. All
parts are dishwasher-proof.
MAINTENANCE AND CARE
DESCALING THE COFFEE MAKER
Important: The appliance can become seriously damaged if
you do not descale it!
Remove deposits with a conventional product for use with
kitchen appliances (follow the instructions carefully) or with
citric acid dissolved in half a litre of lukewarm water.
Fill the water tank (1) with the solution and place the jug
(5) with the infusion lid (6) at the correct position under the
valve.
Allow the contents of the tank to flow fully through the
appliance.
Thoroughly rinse all parts with cold water and allow a
further tankful of water to flow through the appliance.
CLEANING THE COFFEE MAKER
The following parts are dishwasher-proof: Water tank (1);
Coffee pot (5); Infusion lid (6) and the Filter press unit (7).
Do not use chemicals, steel wool or abrasive agents to
clean the outside of the coffee maker.
– Only clean the base station with a damp cloth.
Never immerse the appliance in water. Always remember
that this is an electrical appliance.
Important note: Always disconnect the coffee maker from
the power supply when cleaning the appliance.
Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized
service representative.
STORAGE
Always disconnect the coffee maker from the power supply
when not in use.
