Coarsefilter
Larger items, such aspieces ofbone or glass, thatcould clog thedrain are trappedin the
coarsefilter. To remove an item caught in this filter, gentlysqueeze the tabs on top of this
filter and lift it out.
For your convenience, we have placedthedrainpump and filtering systemwithin easy reach inside the tub. There are three
components of the filtering system: the main filter,the coarse filter, and the fine filter.

Fine filter
This filter holds soilandfoodresidue in thesump area andpreventsit from being
redepositedonthe dishes during acycle.
Main filter
Food and soil particles trapped by this filter are pulverizedby a special jet on the lowerspray
arm and washeddown the drain.

If your dishwasher is left in an unheated place during the winter, ask a service technician to:
Cut off electrical power to the dishwasher.
Turn off the water supply and disconnect the water
inletpipefromthewatervalve.
Drain water from the inlet and water valve.pipe
(Use a pan to catch the water.)
Reconnect the water inlet to the
water valve.

Remove the filter in the tub the bottom
and use a sponge to soak up water
in sump.

It is necessary to clean thespray armsregularly , for hard waterchemicals will clog the
sprayarm jets and bearings. To remove the spray arm, screw off the nut clockwiseto take
out the washer on top of the spray arm and remove the arm. Wash the arms in soapyand
warm water and use a soft brush to clean the jets. Replace them after rinsing them
thoroughly.
Filter assembly
For best performance and results,the filterassemblymustbecleaned.
Thefilter efficiently removesfoodparticlesfromthewashwater, allowingittobe
recirculatedduring the cycle.For this reason, it is a goodideatoremove the larger
food particles trapped in the filterafter each wash cycle by rinsingthe semicircular
filter and cup under running water. To remove the filter assembly, pullon the cup
handle in the upward direction. The entirefilterassemblyshould be cleaned
once a week.
To clean the coarsefilterand the fine filter,use a cleaningbrush.Then, reassemble
the filter parts as shown inthe figures left and reinsertthe entire assembly inthe
dishwasher, positioningin its seat and pressingdownward.
