Problem solving
If the Dishwasher does not appear to be operating properly, check this chart before you call for
service.
Problem Possible cause What to do
The dishwasher will not
start.
Door not closed properly. Close the door by pushing
the handle forward until it
‘clicks’,
Power supply not
connected.
Check that the power cord
is plugged in and the switch
is on.
Check the fuse, by seeing
if another small appliance
will not operate from that
power outlet.
Keylock on. If the keylock light is on,
press and hold the KEYLOCK
button for four seconds
until you hear a beep.
Dishwasher does not
drain.
Drain hose bent or kinked. Straighten drain hose so
water can flow through.
Strainer blocked. Empty out the strainer
and ensure the filter
plate is clear of food
particles.
Dishes do not come out
clean.
Loading. Avoid overloading the
dishwasher.
Ensure the spray arms can
rotate freely.
Remove food scraps from
dishes before loading.
Blocked spray arm holes. Remove spray arms, rinse
under tap water and
replace (see Care & cleaning
section).
Not enough detergent. Use the recommended
amount of detergent.
Strainer blocked. Clean the strainer (see Care
& Cleaning section).
