Do not use these cleaning agents
▯ Caustic or corrosive cleaners
▯ Don't allow acidic cleaners (e.g. vinegar, citric
acid, etc.) to get on the frame or panel
▯ Cleaners containing chlorine or large proportions
of alcohol
▯ Baking oven spray
▯ Hard, scratchy dish-washing sponges, brushes or
scourers
▯ Thoroughly wash out new sponge cloths before
using them.
Troubleshooting
You can often easily eliminate problems that may
occur on your own. Before calling customer service,
take into account the following information.
Malfunction Possible cause Solution
Burner doesn't ignite when
turned on; indicator lights are off.
No power supply. Turn control knob to 0. Check in the fuse box
whether the fuse has opened.
Burner doesn't ignite when
turned on; indicator light of
activated burner blinks.
Burner or gas supply malfunction. Turn control knob to 0.
Check:
▯ Burner parts correctly in place?
▯ Gas stop tap open?
▯ Burner dry and clean?
▯ Air pocket in pipeline after first connection or
cylinder change (with liquefied gas)?
▯ Gas cylinder empty (with liquefied gas)?
Burner turns off during operation,
indicator lights go out and only
the indicator of the burner
affected continues blinking for a
few seconds.
Burner or gas supply malfunction. Turn all control knobs to 0.
Wait until the appliance
has cooled down!
With this burner, check:
▯ Burner parts correctly in place?
▯ Electrode dirty (food remains) or damp?
▯ Burner dirtied with spilled food?
▯ Strong draft of air (e.g. open window directly
behind the gas stovetop)?
▯ Gas cylinder empty (with liquefied gas)?
Burners turn off while in
operation, indicator lights go out.
Power failure Turn all control knobs to 0. Check power supply.
There is no automatic re-ignition after a power
failure.
Burners turn off while in
operation; all indicator lights
blink.
Overheating protection Turn all control knobs to 0. Wait until indicator lights
stop blinking.
It smells like gas in the kitchen. Potential leak at gas cylinder
connection.
Check gas cylinder connection for leaks.
