burned-onfoodswillsoakloose
whilethemealisbeingserved.

disconnect electric power to the

locatedinthe upperrightcorner.
Reachinand unscrewit aftertaking
precautionsmentionedabove.
Replaceitwitha high-temperature
appliancebulbofthesamewattage.

Thetemperaturecontrolinyour
newovenhasbeencarefullyadjusted
toprovideaccuratetemperatures.
However,ifthisovenhasreplaced
oneyouhaveusedforseveralyears,
youmaynoticea differenceinthe
degreeofbrowningor thelength
oftimerequiredwhenusingyour
favoriterecipes.Oventemperature
controlshaveatendencyto “drift”
overa periodofyearsandsince
thisdriftis verygradual,itis not
readilynoticed.Therefore,you
mayhavebecomeaccustomedto
yourpreviousovenwhichmay
haveprovidedahigheror lower
temperaturethanyouselected.
Beforeattemptingtohavethe
temperatureofyournewoven
changed,be sureyouhavefollowed
thebakingtimeandtemperatureof
therecipecarefully.Then,after
youhaveusedtheovena fewtimes
andyoufeeltheovenis toohot
or toocool,thereisa simple
adjustmentyoucanmakeyourself
ontheOVENTEMPknob.
Pull the knob offthe control shaft
and look at the back side. There is
a disc in the center of the knob skirt
with a series ofnotcheson the inner
edge nextto the knob shafi. One of
these notches is positioned overa
pointeron the sideofthe knob shall.

Loosen onlv the
Notewhichno[chthepointeris
locatedin. Tomakeanadjustment,
carefullyloosen(approximately
oneturn),butdo notcompletely
removethetwoscrewsthatholdthe
skirttotheknob.Holdthe knobin
onehandandwiththeotherhand
carefullytilttheskirtuntilthenotch
inthediscclearsthepointeronthe
knobshaft. .
Toraisetheoventemperature,turn
the
dial inthedirectionof the
arrowfor
“Raise~’Tolowerthe
temperature,turnthe
dial inthe
directionof arrowfor “Lower~’
Eachnotchwillchangetheoven
temperatureapproximately25”F.
Wesuggestthatyoumakethe
adjustmentonenotchfromthe
originalsettingandcheckoven
performancebeforemakingany
additionaladjustments.
Aftertheadjustmentis made,make
surethepointerontheknobshaft
isalignedwiththenotchinthedisc.
Pressskirtandknobtogetherand
retightenscrewssotheyaresnug,
butbecarefulnottoovertighten.
Re-installknobon rangeand
checkperformance.Note:After
anadjustmenthasbeenmadethe
“Off” and“Broil”positionswill
notlineup withtheindicatormark
onthecontrolpanelas they
previouslydid.Thiscondition
is normalandwillnotcreate
a problem.
