MAINTENANCE
WARNING: THE OVEN AND ITS PARTS ARE HOT. USE CARE WHEN OPERATING, CLEANING,
OR PERFORMING ANY MAINTENANCE.
WARNING: DISCONNECT THE ELECTRICAL POWER TO THE MACHINE AND FOLLOW
LOCKOUT / TAGOUT PROCEDURES.
LUBRICATION
The fan motor comes with sealed bearings and requires no lubrication.
The door hinges and mechanism require occasional lubrication with mineral oil.
DISCONNECTING GAS LINE RESTRAINT
If this oven is placed on casters, it should be connected to the supply piping with the proper disconnect
device and restraint. If it is necessary to disconnect the restraint, first turn off the gas supply. Reconnect
the restraint before turning the gas supply on and returning the oven to its original installation position.
VENT
Annually check the flue, when cool, to be sure it is free of obstructions.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If the NO IGNITION LIGHT remains lit for more than 20 seconds after three trials (Model HGC20), or
if E-05 displays after three trials (Model HGC20D):
Allow oven to cool.
Turn oven off for 5 minutes before attempting to re-light.
Check gas supply valves to be sure they are open.
Check electrical power source and connections.
Call your local Hobart service office.
SERVICE
Contact your local Hobart-authorized service office for any repairs or adjustments needed on this
equipment. Long-term service contracts are available on this and other Hobart products.
When calling for service, the following information must be available: model number, serial number,
manufacture date (MD) and voltage.
