Always use salt intended for use with dishwashers.
The salt container is located beneath the lower rack and should be filled as follows:
Remove the lower basket and then unscrew and remove the cap from the salt
container.
Ifyouarefilling thecontainerfor the first time,fill 2/3 of its volume with water.
Place the end ofthefunnel(supplied) into the hole and introduce about 2kg of
salt .It is normal for a small amount of water to come out of the salt container
Carefully screw the cap back on.

Unscrew the cap from the salt container.
There is aringon the container with an arrowon it (see Figure to the side), if
necessary, rotate the ring in the anticlockwise direction from the "-" Setting
toward the "+" sign, based on the hardness of the waterbeing used.It is
recommendedthatadjustmentsshould bemade inaccordance with the following

Thesaltcontainer must be refilled when the salt warninglight comes on. Thoughthesalt container is filled
enough, the indicator light maynotblack out before thesaltfullydissolve.
Ifthereare spillsof the salt, a soakprogram couldbe runto wipethem out.
Contact your local water board for information on the hardness of your water supply.
The hardness of the water variesfrom place to place. If hard water is usedin the dishwasher, deposits will form on thedishes
and utensils.
The appliances is equippedwith a specialsoftener that uses asalt specifically designed to eliminate lime andmineralsfrom the
water.
Thedishwasher is designed to allow for adjusting the amount of salt consumed based on the hardness of the water used.
Thisis intended to optimizeandcustomize thelevelof saltconsumption so that the salt consumption could be setproceedas
follows:
There are two ways to reduce the hardness: one way is using water softener, the other is using
detergent.
