Connect Vent System - For Rear Venting Installation Only
This range hood can be set for rear venting using the 3¼" x 10"
(8.3 x 25.4 cm) rectangular damper (supplied).
1. Using 2 or more people, set range hood onto its back on a
covered surface.
2. Push in the bottom of the center glass to unlatch, and lift to
open. Remove the 2 screws that hold it to the canopy. Set the
glass cover and the mounting screws aside.
3. Remove metal filter. See the “Range Hood Care” section.
4. Disconnect the blower wiring plug.
5. Remove the 4 mounting screws holding the 8" (20.3 cm)
diameter transition damper to the canopy top. Set the
damper and mounting screws aside.
6. Remove the 4 screws holding the blower motor to the canopy
top. Push blower up to release the mounting tabs from the
keyhole slots. Remove blower motor. Set blower motor and
mounting screws aside.
7. Remove the 4 screws from the cover plate on the back of the
canopy.
8. Install cover plate over the rectangular top exhaust hole using
its 4 mounting screws. Tighten screws.
