Boil-dry protection
Thiskettleisequippedwithboil-dryprotection.Thisdeviceautomatically
switchesoffthekettleifitisaccidentallyswitchedonwhenthereisno
waterornotenoughwaterinit.Liftthekettlefromitsbaseandllitwith
watertoresetboil-dryprotection.Thekettleisnowreadyforuseagain.
ThisPhilipsappliancecomplieswithallstandardsregarding
electromagneticelds(EMF).Ifhandledproperlyandaccordingtothe
instructionsinthisusermanual,theapplianceissafetousebasedon
scienticevidenceavailabletoday.

Remove stickers, if any, from the base or the kettle.
2 Placethebaseonadry,stableandatsurface.
3 Usethecordwindertoadjustthelengthofthecord(Fig.2).
Turnthecordwinderclockwisetomakethecordshorteror
anticlockwisetomakeitlonger.
4 Rinse the kettle with water.
5 Fillthekettlewithwateruptothemaximumlevelandletitboil
once(seechapter‘Usingtheappliance’).
6 Pouroutthehotwaterandrinsethekettleoncemore.

Removethelid(Fig.3).
Turnthelidanticlockwiseuntilthelineontopofthekettleisalignedwith
thelineonthelidthatindicatesthe‘open’position.
2 Fillthekettlewithwater(Fig.4).
Note: You can also ll the kettle through the spout.
3 Putthelidbackontothekettle(Fig.5).
