IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should
always be followed, including the following.
■ Read all instructions before using appliance.
■ Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
■ To protect against electric shock, do not immerse probe, cord or
plug in water or other liquids. See Cleaning Instructions.
■ This appliance is not for use by children.
■ Close supervision is necessary when this appliance is used
near children.
■ Do not leave appliance unattended while in use.
■ Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to
cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning
the appliance.
■ Always attach probe to Griddle before plugging cord into wall
outlet. To disconnect, turn temperature control knob to OFF, then
remove plug from wall outlet.
■ Do not operate any damaged appliance. Do not operate with a
damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions, or has
been dropped or damaged in any manner. Contact Salton
Consumer Service for return authorization, examination,
repair or adjustment.
■ The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the
appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
■ Do not use outdoors or while standing in a damp area.
■ Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch
hot surfaces.
■ Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a
heated oven.
■ Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance
containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
