POSSIBLE CAUSE
• Oven controls not properly set. See the Broiling section.
- Oven door and/or broiler drawer not closed°
• Improper shelf position being used. See the Broiling section°
• Food is being cooked on a hot pan.
° Cook'ware is not suited for broiling°
• Aluminum foil used on the broiler pan grid has not been fitted pmpedy
and slit as recommended.
• Oven bottom not securely seated in position.
• Oven temperature is too high to set self-cleaning operation.
Allow the range to cool to room temperature and reset the controls.
• OVEN SET knob not set to CLEAN.
• Door latch handle not moved all the way to the right.
° Oven controls not set properly. See the Operating the Self-Cleaning
Oven section.
• Heavily soiled ovens require at least 4 hours and 20 minutes of cleaning time°
Heavy spitlovers should be cleaned up before starting clean cycle.
• The oven must coot below the !ocldng temperature after the dean cycle
is complete. Do not lock door with door latch except when using the
self-dean feature or the oven may lock.
• Turn the OVEN SET knob to OFE
• Improper air!gas ratio in oven. Adjust oven burner air shutter°
- An odor from the insulation around the oven liner is normal for the first few
times oven is used° This is temporary.
