Operating precautions
Read these instructions carefully before use and keep them in a saf
e place.
Any use which does not comply with these instructions will absolv
e
TEFAL of all liability.
− Keep the appliance out of children’s reach.
− Use the appliance on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surf
ace.
− Check that the voltage of your appliance matches that of y
our electrical
system. Fully unroll the power cord. Do not use an ext
ension lead. If
the power cord is damaged, have it replaced by the manuf
acturer or its
approved service centre. Any connection error will render the guar
antee
null and void.
− Your appliance is designed solely for domestic use.
− Before each use, make sure that the parts of the appliance ar
e correctly
positioned. Check the position of the blade and bowl.
− To keep the blade in good condition, do not process hard f
oods such as
squares of chocolate, sugar lumps, parmesan, walnuts, ice cubes, et
c.
− Unplug the appliance as soon as you stop using it, to clean it and whene
ver
you need to handle the blade. Do not unplug it by pulling the cor
d.
− Do not put the appliance on a hot surface, near a flame or splashing w
ater.
− Do not start up the steaming function without any water in the t
ank.
− Do not start up the blender function if the appliance is empty, or f
or
more than 10 seconds at a time.
− Do not remove the plug from the tank during operation and wait appr
oximately
10 minutes after the end of the cooking before opening it.
− Never stick a fork, knife or metal object in the appliance.
− Never use your appliance if it is not operating properly or if it has been
damaged. In such cases, always contact TEFAL or an approved TEF
AL
service centre.
